Ever since the dawn of the first human civilization, the Home or "Shelter" has been considered the most essential of all things, followed by food & air, required to sustain life. While the life of a living organism depends on food and atmosphere, the survival & safety from the environment or beings of all kinds comes down to the security of your home.
It may not always be natural disasters that threaten your home & hence your life within. Sometimes, it may be very much something that makes up your home. Things like vinyl floor, tiles, ceiling, paint, and wall boards may slowly push your family towards a painful end without your knowledge.
But can you stop the contents of your home from slowly poisoning you? If you follow instructions, then YES! Envirotec Safe provides various asbestos testing services to help you.

What is Asbestos?
Asbestos is a micro-fibre containing silicate material that constitutes a group of six minerals. It appears fibrous in shape, like numerous fine shiny threads coiled together. However, when mined and processed into building materials, it may thoroughly blend in, becoming almost unable to be identified with bare eyes.
Harms of Asbestos:
As one of the most widely mined substances until the 1990s, asbestos was applied in many building materials, automobiles, fireproof products & chemical refining. However, it wasn't until the 1990s that various governments started regulating mining and supply of asbestos to manufacturers & ultimately, to the end consumers.
While being such a helpful material, the horrors could be similar to living in a war zone hit by chemical weapons. It is harmless to touch or live nearby in an intact and undisturbed form. In case of fire or accidental breakage of materials that contain asbestos, the fibre-like structures detach and spread individually by smoke, air or land. When inhaled, the fibres get attached to the internal linings of your body, especially in the lung and abdomen or sometimes in the heart.
For many years these fibres may cause no severe symptoms. Later after the destruction of cells in the body, you start to lose the original structure and strength of your organs like lungs and abdomen, which may begin causing shortness of breath, inflammation & mesothelioma (a type of cancer caused by asbestos). Timely detection and removal of asbestos dramatically help to mitigate these harms to you and your loved ones.
Preventing in advance:
Whether you are living at home or spending time in your office and have constructed the place or you plan on doing it, always ask your material supplier or building contractor to provide a record of the materials used for which you can check the composition of asbestos if you purchased an old office or house particular from the look for following materials as possible locations for asbestos.
Locating Asbestos:
While virtually concealed in most building materials and undetectable by the naked eye unless damaged and protruding outside like a torn fabric, there are certain places and materials where you can expect to find asbestos.
· Cement pipes and other products
· Fire resistant materials
· Roofs
· Electric Insulations
· Floor tiles
· Makeup products
· Ceilings & attic insulation
· Electrical appliances
· Fibres
· Automobile parts
· Vinyl
· Talc powder
· Lab equipment
· Gaskets
· Fireproof curtains
· Plastics
Testing & Removal
Kits for detecting asbestos are available in the market; however, it is often advised that you consult an expert who is trained to handle asbestos-containing material because although not dangerous in the materials when disturbed or worn over time, it isn't easy to breathe near it. So, always consult an expert upon contacting an agency or a specialist. You maybe offer 3 services.
1. Detect and Indicate materials for you that contain asbestos.
2. We are taking samples from materials and sending them for lab tests.
3. Testing samples and removing asbestos-containing materials.
The 3rd one is the safest all-in-one offer from the agency that can be availed to ensure maximum relief and safety for a lifetime.
Benefits of Asbestos testing:
○ Safety and well-being from health hazards that could otherwise result in a lifetime risk of serious illness.
○ We comply with government agencies' safety regulations, which could result in heavy penalties and fines if ignored.
○ Avoid using certain building materials and products in future that is known to you to contain asbestos so that you don't end up worrying about removal all over again.
○ Prevent contaminating soil and air from the asbestos debris in a material at your home that could lead back to your body.
○ Asbestos testing provide healthy life to your children and loved ones by preventing severe diseases such as cancer and mesothelioma.
